Happy April!

It's Spring, folks.  Fresh new beginnings, rebirth, new starts, projects, ideas, plans.  Time to stop thinking and start planting those seeds!  And I'm planting some doosies!

First, the big news, which you might have noticed scrolling across the top of the page.  I am a double RITA Award Nominee this year.  "Love Me To Death" is up for Best Novella, and KILL ME AGAIN, the book where my beloved Dozer plays the heroine's dog, Freddie, is a finalist for Best Romantic Suspense of 2010.  I couldn't be more excited!

Next big news: TWILIGHT PROPHECY is about to go on sale.  Amazon says April 19th in print.  MIRA says April 26th in print.  Both say May 1st in electronic version.  You can order print versions now, e-versions the final week of April.  Buy lots so you can take credit for me hitting higher than ever before on the NY Times Bestseller List, will you? 

And the big news just keeps on coming!  I have just signed a new three book contract with MIRA, for a brand new trilogy.  This one is about a subject near and dear to my heart--Witches.  And I think you're going to love what I've come up with.  It's deep, dark, emotionally wrenching, and it delves back into history all the way to Babylon.  And really, if you're going to write about Witches, it helps to be one. 

We're looking at October 2012, December 2012, and February 2013 as the release dates.  That seems a long ways off, but not to worry.  We still have three books coming out this year: TWILIGHT PROPHECY as I already mentioned, this month.  VACATION WITH A VAMPIRE from Nocturne, with stories by Maureen Child and myself, in June, and TWILIGHT FULFILLED at the end of September.

And yes, this is news too: those will be the final three books of Wings in the Night . . . at least for a little while.  I'll never say never where that series is concerned, but after 20 stories, (including several novellas and an online read) I think the time has come.

So I'm busy, busy, busy, and loving every minute of it.

We've had some great reviews of TWILIGHT PROPHECY so far, include one from Night Owl Reviews that gave it 5 out of 5 stars and named it a Reviewer's Top Pick.  Very nice.  I really hope you all like it.

Now onto personal stuff.  The news there is not as good, or maybe just not yet.  Daisy, our female English Mastiff, is NOT preggers.  We were hoping.  But we'll try again in the Fall, and if we still don't have a pregnancy, we will spay.  Their life spans are longer when the dogs are spayed and neutered, and we want both our babies to live a long, long time.  So one more try, and then done.

And Health & Fitness News!  Maggie's Health and Fitness now has a Facebook Page.  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Maggies-Health-Fitness/192143384159176  If you don't know, this group began as a Yahoogroup for discussions of health and fitness issues, where we share resources, references, challenges, recipes, workouts, and friendship.  We've expanded onto FB now and we're loving it.  So join in!  What better time than now?  Have I mentioned, it's Spring?

And now I'm off for the day.  It's just too gorgeous outside to sit at this desk any longer, and I have worked my tail off for the past two weeks.  Time to play.  I am about to plant some sunflower seeds!
