Yes, Dawn's story (from Thicker/Colder/Darker) will be told. Look for the Secrets of Shadow Falls trilogy, in July, August and September 2010. Book one, KILLING ME SOFTLY stars Dawn Jones and Bryan Kendall!

October 1st Update!

TWILIGHT PROPHECY is finished!  Phew!

And oh, baby, do I love this book.

It’s one of the three brand new Wings in the Night vampire titles you’ll see from me in 2011. One is a novella called “Vampires in Paradise” that will be included in the Nocturne special 2-in-1 release, VACATION WITH A VAMPIRE, along with a story by the amazing Maureen Child, which comes out in July, and I’m actually going over the line edits of that story as we speak.  It falls right in between the two culminating, series capping, earth shattering,  full-length MIRA releases, TWILIGHT PROPHECY in May, and TWILIGHT FULFILLMENT in October.  Those two books are the stories of the twins, J.W. and Brigit Poe.  His story is first, and hers second.  And his is finished.  I’m in the very early stages of writing Brigit’s story now, and enjoying--no, that’s too weak a word--relishing, basking, delighting in every single word I type.  I love this series.

‘Nuff said.

On the shelves now: TWILIGHT HUNGER.  This is a reissue, but if you missed it, you’ll want to get caught up.  Others just want it for the gorgeous new cover art.

Still on sale, all three of my summer suspense series, The Secrets of Shadow Falls; KILLING ME SOFTLY, KILL ME AGAIN, and KISS ME, KILL ME.

Also, I’ve just added links to all of my FREE online reads at E-Harlequin.com.  There are quite a few up there, and most can’t be found anywhere else, so enjoy them!

And now, life.  Ahhh, that felt good.  Get the business out of the way up front and get on with the real stuff.  I had a moment, deep in meditation the other day, when I just knew, (briefly) that we were not meant to live as we do.  That our jobs keep us from doing what’s important--just living.  That our houses separate us from the world we were born into, from nature.  That it is the height of weirdness to be sitting in a climate controlled box (house), staring at a smaller electronic box, (TV screen or a computer screen) instead of being out there, living, hunting and gathering and communing with others around a central fire.  For just one brief, glimmering moment, I felt like I truly got it.  Truly became in tune with my ancestors.

And then it was gone and I finished reading my email.

Sometimes, though, it’s like the veil gets disrupted, and I catch a glimpse beyond the illusion.  Maya is the Goddess who deals with this sort of deep knowing, with those glimpses, and I’m going to spend some quality time with her this Fall as she seems to have something to say to me.

Meanwhile, life is beautiful, illusory or not.  I love it.  We’ve been very busy planning my daughter Stacie’s wedding, which will take place just about a year from now, and so we’ve spent nearly every free moment online, or on the phone, or in the car, checking out locations, ruling some out, ruling some in, narrowing down our choices.  We need to get something booked soon so we can get on with the fun stuff--picking the gown, the bridesmaid’s dresses, the flowers and the cake!  I can hardly wait.

Autumn has been beautiful here in southern, central NY and I’ve been posting my annual fall foliage shots on Facebook daily.  There are a bunch of them here, as well, and eventually I’ll make a slide show somewhere and get that up and going, probably over at Shayne’s Shenanigans, my solo blog.

I just can’t get enough of the colors and beauty of this season.  And already, it’s nearly over.  I’ve shot and shot and shot and now the leaves have passed their peak and the vibrant fiery hillsides are rapidly declining into brown.  Soon to be followed by white.  I do love the changing seasons!

And Halloween will be here before we know it!  Is that amazing?  Where did the summer go?

Okay, well, that’s the news from here. In summary:

And all is right with the world.

And I’ve started a list for my annual letter to Santa Claus.  Shhh!  Don’t tell the Great Pumpkin!

Enjoy,
Maggie
