The Summer Gone By

It's been a very productive summer for me. As fall rolls in, I'm finding myself reviewing what's been achieved.
We released the final book in the Shattered Sisters Series, HUNTED, and put new covers on all 5 of these romantic suspense novels. Each book is a page-turning thrill-ride you won't be able to put down.
My summer writing project was DEPUTY BRAND GETS HER MAN, while my summer release was its predescessor HONKY TONK COWBOY which came out August 12th. DEPUTY BRAND will release Thanksgiving week, and I fully intend to have the next one written by the end of this year. It doesn't yet have a title. Or a plot. I just know who the characters are. I have to find a way to throw them togehter. So I'm mulling.
That series, The Texas Brand: Generations, will have 8 books total and I hope to power straight through to the end of it, but might be writing a W
ings in the Night or Brown and de Luca or Fatal book in the background at any time. Maybe all of the above. I can't neglect my children (of the night.) I also have the second Fiona book half-written around here somewhere. My gosh, I wish I could clone myself!
This fall I'll be writing the next Brand cousin. I'm mulling the next story today, as I await the edit of Deputy Brand, which I'll likely have back tomorrow. Then I'm diving back into that one for the next week or two for a final polish before sending it on to my publisher.
But there was another bit of progress made this summer! We got six more covers for our Wings in the Night books, meaning we only have four covers to go.
I'm going to post them all here, because they are so beautiful. Look at the tiny details. All the Reaper books have a scythe, the twins' stories are negative images of one another, and so on. I just love those special touches.
Now, because we are combining the novellas in with the novels, the numbering changes. Before each novella was numbered. Now they're free bonuses included with whatever novel precedes them. So we have 4 more covers to go, and then we can relaunch Wings in the Night wide. It's been in Kindle Unlimited for a while. The dedicated and hardworking team at Oliver Heber Books and I have been patiently re-vamping the files in preparation for the relaunch. In the meantime, the books are wide in paperback and ebook, just in their previous covers, which I adore anyway) *By wide I mean they are available at Barnes and Noble, Google Play Books, Apple Books, Kobo Books, Smashwords, Books-a-Million, Baker & Taylor, Thalia and other retailers instead of being Amazon-only.)
Right now Amazon has the new covers and everybody else still has the old so we can recover them all at once when we get the final four. Aren't they gorgeous?

Next we're awaiting covers for Twilight Guardians, Twilight Vendetta, The Rhiannon Chronicles, and Young Rhiannon in the Temple of Isis. Fiona: Origins will be listed as a related book in the Wings Universe and probably won't get a new cover until it gets a finished sequel. Then it'll be its own related series within the Wings in the Night Universe.
Dead by Twilight in the Edge of Twilight Anthology with Chris Feehan will continue to be unnumbered and published by Penguin-Putnam.
Fear the Reaper will be included with either The Rhiannon Chronicles or Fiona: Origins.
This will give us 19 Wings in the Night titles, plus 5 novellas and 1 related title/soon-to-be-series. (For now. I'll be writing vampires until I die. Maybe even longer.)
And that's all my summer writing news for the moment. All I can think of, at least. Oh, my publisher is eager to get the next couple of Generations covers into production, so we might get early looks at those!
Okay, that's all til next time. Love to everyone! I see you out there loving your neighbors and feeding the hungry and welcomng the stranger and doing the right thing. I'm with you. Hang in there.
